Creative direction, exhibition design, and production for HORSE, an interactive installation by Tyrrell Winston presented at 1001 Woodward in partnership with Library Street Collective. At the center stood a 25-foot “hoop tree” composed of 14 basketball hoops—recasting the court as a sculptural environment and a platform for public engagement. Framing the installation were two major works: Winston’s largest Punishment Painting to date, and a found object sculpture built from weathered basketballs—both meditations on memory, value, and cultural narrative.
Supper led the spatial and experiential design, crafting a layout that blurred the lines between sport and art. A full graphic system was developed for the exhibition, spanning window vinyls, signage, wayfinding, digital assets, printed collateral, and invitations—ensuring clarity and cohesion across every touchpoint and channel. The exhibition invited visitors to not just observe but participate—turning each moment of interaction into part of the piece’s evolving story.
To round out the experience, Supper also created a supporting merch collection, including a hoodie, t-shirt, and accessories. Custom-branded basketballs were produced and used throughout the space, along with limited-edition trophies designed specifically for the event. Each element reinforced HORSE as a fully immersive, cultural moment—rooted in play, expression, and community.
